Effective Date: April 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Kaban ("Kaban", the "App", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and deletes information in connection with the Kaban iOS application, its API, and its administrative tools.
Kaban is designed to operate without requiring a user's real name, email address, phone number, passport data, or other direct real-world identifying information.
In ordinary operation, account and usage records are associated primarily with:
Kaban is intended to use pseudonymous account data rather than verified real-world identity data. However, if a user voluntarily chooses a nickname that contains personal information, or otherwise voluntarily discloses personal information, such information may become associated with that account by the user's own actions.
Depending on how the App is used, Kaban may collect and process the following categories of information:
Kaban does not request exact location, contact list access, camera access, microphone access, or advertising tracking permission as part of the functionality described in this Policy.
Kaban uses application-level encryption for sensitive registration and telemetry payloads before such payloads are transmitted to the server.
The server stores encrypted payloads, and administrative decryption is intended to occur only by use of the corresponding private administrative key. While no system can guarantee absolute security, Kaban is designed to reduce unnecessary exposure of sensitive telemetry contents in transit and at rest.
Kaban does not require users to verify their legal identity. Accordingly, the service is generally structured around pseudonymous use.
For this reason, most account and behavioral records are not intended to be tied to a specific real-world person, but rather to a virtual nickname and an internal technical account record.
Nevertheless, certain technical data such as device information or push-delivery data may still be processed because they are necessary to operate the App. Such technical data may not directly identify a natural person by itself, but may still constitute personal data under applicable law depending on the jurisdiction and circumstances.
Kaban does not sell user data. Data may be processed by infrastructure components necessary to provide hosting, network transport, push delivery, and platform services. Administrative access to user-related data is restricted to the operator of the service and the administrative tools configured for Kaban.
Kaban retains account, telemetry, friendship, and notification records for as long as needed to operate the service, unless deletion is requested through the App or the data is otherwise removed by the operator for administrative, technical, or legal reasons.
Users may request deletion of their account directly from within the App through the account deletion function.
When an account is deleted, Kaban is designed to remove the associated user record and the related server-side telemetry, push tokens, friendships, friend requests, and notification records connected to that account.
Kaban is not intended to knowingly collect verified real-world identity data from children. If the operator becomes aware that data has been collected in a manner that should be removed under applicable law or platform policy, the operator may delete such data.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The most current version should be treated as the controlling version once published through the App, the service website, or another official Kaban distribution channel.
